For over 40 years, the LP "Esther, Esther Ofarim's 1st Album" has been considered a reference for sophisticated songs and perfect sound. Esther's world career with her then-husband Abi Ofarim preceded the LP for more than a decade. "1st Album" was an expression of her reboot as a solo singer with an extremely melodic, cheerful, partly melancholic and also cheeky repertoire.

Can such a record, audiophile classic in thousands of record collections, still be improved? Birgit Hammer-Sommer and Dirk Sommer, the sound professionals of "sommelier du son," and their team took up the challenge for a re-mastering.

Together with Christoph Stickel from the cs mastering studio in Vienna, they have carefully restored the original master tapes. Thorsten Scheffner cut the lacquer films in his Organic Music Studio, after small tonal corrections to optimize the sampling. Optimal Media has rebuilt one of the world's most qualified record press movements in the course of the vinyl revival in Röbel an der Müritz. There, Dirk Mahlstedt from the Künstlerhafen in Bernau coordinated the production.
